About the No Dirty Energy Campaign

The Problem: the dirty energy rush

Skyrocketing demand for energy sources has sparked a worldwide rush to mine the world’s dirtiest fuel minerals in some of the world's most environmentally important places.

 Choices we make now matter

As we make decisions NOW that will affect communities and the environment for generations, the full costs of extraction, processing and transport of energy sources must be considered in the global energy debate.

The Solution: energy sources that work for people and planet

The No Dirty Energy Campaign is transforming the current global energy debate by:

  • exposing the environmental and social impacts of extracting dirty fuel sources such as coal, oil, gas, and uranium;
  • ensuring affected communities have a seat at the energy development decision-making table, and
  • blocking irresponsible development of the world’s dirtiest energy sources

The No Dirty Energy campaign is an effort of EARTHWORKS, an advocacy nonprofit devoted to protecting communities and the environment.
